Black Otter is a family business that has been operating in southwest Montana for over 50 years. We offer summer horseback pack trips into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness for excellent fishing, spectacular scenery, horseback rides, and great camaraderie around the campfire. We also offer float trips for guided fishing on the world-famous Yellowstone River or local lakes. In the fall, we hunt on public land from a pack-in, backcountry tent camp in the prime hunting area in Montana. This area is excellent for elk, deer, goat, bear and moose hunting and is home for one of the largest resident elk herds in Montana.
Our camps are authorized under a special-use permit from the Custer Gallatin?National Forest.
